Trevor Noah Highlights The Most Dangerous Freedom Fighters That Existed
The Daily Show host Trevor Noah, has been very open about his life growing up in South Africa. In fact, he released the New York Times Bestseller, Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood in November 2016 which depicts?all aspects his life from?growing up as the child of an illegal interracial relationship during Apartheid, his encounters with gangs, a stint in jail, and finding romance.
After hundreds of?Women’s Marches around the world in solidarity with the?Women’s March in Washington, DC, Noah?took some time in between scenes to reflect on growing up during apartheid with powerful South African female resistance leaders and their impact on the country?s history.
?I grew up in a world that was very matriarchal, and where women were the most dangerous freedom fighters that existed,? he shared.
