TOKS OLAGUNDOYE
Olatokunbo ?Toks? Olagundoye is a Nigerian actress, writer and producer who was born to a Nigerian father and a Norwegian mother in Lagos, Nigeria, where they still live. Toks spent her childhood and youth around the world. ?She attended primary school in Nigeria before moving to Switzerland for middle school and eventually ending up at a boarding school in England for her high school education. Being well educated and fond of travel, Toks continued her education in the state of Massachusetts in the United States, where she received Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Theatre from Smith College. With a very early interest in acting, she changed her major from pre-law to theatre once she realized and accepted her passion for the arts.
With a long list of film and television credits to her name, Toks has starred in shows including NCIS, Switched at Birth, and Law and Order. You might have also noticed her in Brown Sugar where she played Sidney?s (Sanaa Lathan) assistant. She also starred as political advisor Meghan Oliver in the film Democracy at Work, a political satire that tells the story of a day in the life of a local political campaign. She was recently cast on the ABC sitcom The Neighbors, where she was popularly known for her role as alien matriarch Jackie Joyner-Kersee. She is set to be cast as a regular in NBC?s comedy pilot Feed Me where she will play Meryl.
A self described peskaterian, Toks enjoys eating great food, horse backing riding and exploring new places. She also has a sense of humor and wit that are as amazing as she is.
