According to Dasra, India has 113 million adolescent girls which is an estimated 10% of its population. Despite these numbers, these girls are a largely invisible group. ?We believe that if philanthropists and social entrepreneurs are equipped with the knowledge, funding opportunities and people to make their work more strategic, change can happen,” ?states Dasra co-founder Deval Sanghavi. ?However, adolescent girls can become products of change when educated, and empowered with plenty of support.?
