Israeli Photographer Captures The Beauty of People With Albinism In A Fairytale Photo Series
Israeli photographer and graphic designer, Yulia Taits, shares her experience of featuring people with Albinism as she visually walks us through her Porcelain Beauty photo series.
?For some time I?ve had the idea to create and photograph a project featuring albino people or people with Albinism,? she shares on her Facebook page. “This beauty is so pure and amazing for me, as if it was taken from fantasies and fairy tale legends…this series was an amazing experience for me because I could create this beautiful photography without Photoshop. What transpired was pure natural beauty.?
Albinism is a rare genetic condition — affecting individuals of all ethnicities and genders — that reduces the amount of melanin pigment formed in the skin, hair and/or eyes. Albinos are rather unfortunately often discriminated against, and may be killed in certain communities as a result of beliefs that are rooted in deep seated superstition.
We agree that the beauty reflected in her photographs are almost ethereal.
