What: Madiba is not in South Africa, let alone a township for that matter. However, this has not held the owners of this amazing restaurant back. Madiba presents authentic & bonafide South African cuisine in a unique environment that celebrates traditional informal dining found in South African townships. The Shebeen-esque design offers the warmth and ambiance that pair very well with great food and company.

Where: Brooklyn, NY, United States.

Why: The restaurant is aptly named, as it pays homage to the great Nelson Mandela. As a patron, you will also enjoy that warm and fuzzy feeling (no, not from your stomach!) that comes from giving back. A portion of the restaurant’s proceeds goes to select charities in South Africa. Yebo!
