Firsts: Baby Isla Is The Absolutely Adorable New Face Of Gerber For 2016

The new face of Gerber is the absolutely adorable Isla, from Troy, Michigan.

According to the baby products and food company, the seven month old, 2016 Gerber Baby of the Year was selected out of over 170,000 entries, and is the first Asian-American to represent the company in their iconic campaign.

In a written statement to US People Magazine, Nestle Infant Nutrition’s senior media marketing manager, Bernadette Tortorella shared their selection process.? “The Gerber judges look for happy babies who are judged on their visual appeal, expressiveness and consistency with Gerber’s heritage and mission.?

Isla appeared for an interview with her parents Rachael and Grayson on the?US Daytime television show?FABLife,?where they shared their excitement over the news.

“It hasn’t quite sunk in that she is the Gerber baby yet, but she’ll be excited to be part of the Gerber family this year”, her mother, Rachael said in the interview.

Isla’s parents will receive a US$50,000 grand prize, and?US$1,500 worth of Gerber children’s clothing.?Isla will appear?in the company’s 2016 campaigns.
